So, I changed my goal for Nanowrimo this year. I’ve been writing a bit in Marlijne’s Diary, and found out that this is my chance to work out most of the backstory, without needing an info-dump in Ryker’s Challenge.
All writers advise not to write too much backstory, and as I have this website as a means to give the writer a lot of information ‘behind the scenes’, why not use it to complete Marlijne’s diary this Nano? My goal is not to write the 50k words, I probably will, but to provide the reader and myself of course enough backstory to make Ryker’s Challenge more insightful. As we only see things from Rykers’ POV, this diary may shed a new light on events.
